Lesson times without the group chat
Tutoring diaries move every term: exams, half terms, clubs and holidays all change when students can come. Agreeing each slot by message takes time, and double bookings creep in.
With OpenSlot you set your weekly teaching hours once and block out the dates you are away. Parents see only the slots that are genuinely free and book one in a couple of taps on their phone.

Get paid when they book
Chasing lesson fees is awkward with families you see every week. On Solo you can take the full lesson fee or a deposit at the moment of booking, paid into your own Stripe account. OpenSlot takes no commission.
Automatic reminder emails go out before each lesson. Parents can cancel through their booking link up to the notice period you choose, and after that they need to speak to you.
Small tutoring businesses and agencies
If you work alone, Solo at £12 a month covers unlimited lesson types and bookings. A small tutoring business with up to five tutors can use Team at £29 a month, with each tutor keeping their own hours and subjects.
You can begin on the Free plan with one lesson type and up to 20 bookings a month to see whether parents use it.
Can parents book on behalf of a student?
Yes. The person booking enters their name and contact details and can add a message, for example the student's name and subject.
Can I offer online tutoring?
Yes. Set the lesson to online and add how the student joins in the location details.
Can I take payment for lessons in advance?
Yes, on Solo and Team. Connect your Stripe account and choose a deposit or full payment for each lesson type.
Does OpenSlot handle block bookings or packages?
Not yet. Each lesson is booked individually. If you sell termly packages, take payment for the package separately and set the lesson price to zero.
